The furnaces are sized based on tonnage (1 tn = 1000 sq ft) and the sq ft of the home that it is being installed in.

You do not want to oversize or undersize the AC as it will cause freezing and air blockage, and excessive water flow among other problems.

Anything up to 2 tonnage – 4 tonnages are the general sizes for residential homes (2000 – 4000 sq ft).

Air filters should be changed/checked every 3 months. The air filters are located either on the left or right side of the furnace whichever side the return air duct is located.

First you should immediately turn off the AC. Then, you can check the air filter to see if it's dirty, and then replace it with a new one. Let the system thaw out from its frozen state, and then turn it back on. If it is still frozen, call a licensed HVAC contractor for a solution.
